A specialized vehicle designed to transport shift workers overturned into a river flowing in the Milkovsky district of the Kamchatka Territory, injuring 10 people. This was reported on February 1 in the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.
"According to preliminary information, on the morning of February 1, on 102 km of the Milkovo—Aga highway, a vehicle carrying workers of the Kamchatka Gold joint-stock company overturned into the river. There were 26 people in the car, 10 of them were taken to the Milkovo regional hospital," the ministry said in a statement posted on the Telegram channel.
It is specified that during the inspection initiated by the district investigation department, an assessment of the contractor's and employer's compliance with the rules of passenger transportation and labor protection will be given, and in case of violations, prosecutorial response measures will be applied to the listed persons.
On January 31, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the Irkutsk region reported six victims of an accident involving two minibuses and a taxi. It was noted that the number of injured included at least two persons who had not reached the age of majority. The ministry said that the incident itself was recorded at about 4 p.m. (11:00 a.m. Moscow time) on Tsentralny Avenue.
