ROSSETI fully restored power supply to Murmansk and Severomorsk
ROSSETI has fully resumed supplying power to consumers who had previously been left without electricity in Murmansk and BUT. Severomorsk. The causes of the technological disruption that occurred on January 31 were promptly identified and eliminated by ROSSETI North-West specialists. This was reported by the press service of PJSC ROSSETI.
The disruption in the operation of the power line occurred due to strong wind and icing at temperatures below -31 degrees. As a result, the lightning line was damaged. At the same time, the structures of the power line poles were not damaged.
The shutdown affected less than 20% of the residents of Murmansk and the city of Severomorsk, Rosseti emphasized. After receiving a signal about a power outage, priority switches were immediately started. Boiler rooms and part of the housing stock were switched to backup power supply schemes as soon as possible.
At the moment, the power supply is carried out in full. Related network companies in the region, responsible for the operation of distribution networks, continue to take steps to connect all consumers in stages.
In parallel, power engineers are carrying out round-the-clock work on the installation of permanent metal supports. These measures are aimed at restoring normal power supply schemes after the technological disruption that occurred at the end of last week.
