- The study revealed an increase in fatigue and dissatisfaction with salaries among Russians
Most Russians are satisfied with the workforce and their position, but the level of wages remains the main source of discontent. This is evidenced by the results of a study of the care service for the well-being of employees of Prosebya (part of the Renaissance Insurance Group). and the Public Opinion Foundation, the results were reviewed on February 2 by Izvestia.
Among the factors that cause the greatest satisfaction at work, respondents most often named the atmosphere in the team — 96%, workplace conditions — 89% and position — 88%. At the same time, 83% of the study participants believe that they are generally in control of their lives, and 67% stated their intention to implement long-term plans regardless of the circumstances.
At the same time, almost every second respondent (41%) reported dissatisfaction with the salary level. The three main problems also included the low efficiency of the organization of work processes, which was indicated by 35% of respondents, and the lack of opportunities for professional development — 27%.
In their personal lives, Russians most often expressed dissatisfaction with their financial situation (35%), their health status (28%), and the environmental situation in their region of residence (26%). At the same time, the ratings of relationships with friends and close relatives were the highest: 93% and 90% of the survey participants were satisfied with them, respectively. Only about 20% of the respondents reported that they were not satisfied with their current living conditions.
The study also showed a high level of psychological stress: 57% of Russians have faced stressful situations over the past month, and 35% admitted that they experience stress all the time. The most common negative condition was exhaustion: one in four survey participants noted a frequent or constant decline in strength. Other common conditions included irritability (25%), inability to relax (24%), apathy and anxiety —23% each).
"Team fatigue today is not an exception, but a new norm. The data shows that stress and exhaustion are becoming a background condition for a significant portion of employees. And this is no longer a question of individual sustainability, but a management challenge related to how companies build work processes and support people," said Ksenia Vintsunene, CEO of Proseb.
Irina Pak, HR Director of the NC Logistic logistics operator, said on January 30 that employers are increasingly paying attention to candidates' profiles on social networks when deciding on employment. Inappropriate comments, demonstration of bad habits or aggression on the Internet can lead to refusal to work. For example, the demonstration of alcoholism or other bad habits affect the perception of a candidate's professionalism.
