All participants of the Champions League playoffs have become known.

On the night of January 29, the final, eighth round of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League 2025/26 ended, as a result of which all participants in the playoffs of the tournament were determined.

24 teams will participate in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League. The clubs ranked from first to eighth, including Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Tottenham, Barcelona, Chelsea, Sporting and Manchester City, automatically advanced to the main stage of the tournament. Teams ranked from ninth to 24th, including Real Madrid, Inter, PSG, Newcastle, Juventus, Atletico, Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia D, Olympiacos, Brugge, Galatasaray,Monaco, Qarabag, Buda-Glimt and Benfica will participate in the play-off round for the right to reach the 1/8 finals.

According to the regulations, the clubs will be paired based on their position in the group stage. As a result, four seeded pairs (teams from 9th to 16th place) and four unseeded pairs (teams from 17th to 24th place) will be formed. Clubs from seeded pairs will face teams from non-seeded pairs.

The draw for the play-off round will take place on January 30 at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland. The first matches of the play—off round will be held on February 17 and 18, and the return games will be played on February 24 and 25. The draw for the 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 finals of the Champions League will be held on February 27, and the final of the 2025/26 Champions League will be held on May 30 in Budapest at the Puskas Arena stadium.

Goalkeeper of Portuguese football club (FC) Benfica Anatoly Trubin scored a goal on January 28 in the home match of the final, eighth round of the Champions League group stage against Real Madrid.
