Salavat Yulaev beat Ak Bars in the KHL Green Derby

Salavat Yulaev Ufa hockey club defeated Ak Bars Kazan in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season match. The game ended with a score of 4:3 in overtime.

The score in the match was opened by the guests: Sheldon Rempal scored in the 4th minute. However, Ak Bars quickly responded, Alexander Barabanov equalized the score in the 13th minute. In the second period, Ufa again took the lead thanks to Denis Yan's puck, and Vladislav Efremov increased the advantage to 37 minutes.

In extra time, the decisive moment came in the 65th minute, when Egor Suchkov brought victory to Salavat Yulaev by scoring the fourth goal. This victory was the third in a row for Salavat Yulaev in the regular season. The Ufa team scored 54 points and is in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings, while Ak Bars is in second place with 70 points.

Salavat Yulaev will play their next match on January 31 against Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod, while Ak Bars will host Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk on the same day.

Maxim Shalunov (1st, 60th minute) and Alexander Radulov (34th minute) scored goals for the winners. Rocco Grimaldi scored the only goal for SKA (60th).
