Russia's relations with Syria have been actively developing since the change of leadership in that country. This was announced on January 28 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"There will be Russian-Syrian talks in a working format tomorrow, as well as a separate conversation between the president and Mr. [Ahmed] al-Sharaa. Relations with the Syrian Arab Republic are actively developing after the change of leadership," Peskov said.
