The Russian United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) is committed to full-fledged industrial cooperation with India to create an import-substituted Superjet 100 (SJ-100) aircraft, Vadim Badekha, the head of the UAC, said on January 28.

He noted that in the course of many years of successful cooperation between the aviation industry of the Russian Federation and India, it was possible to develop a deep cooperation scheme.

"This is a full-fledged industrial cooperation with the production here in India of those elements and components that the Indian side will undertake. We are confident that the Indian side has very high competencies. Ultimately, it will be a Russian-Indian aircraft that will be produced jointly," TASS quoted him as saying.

On the same day, it was reported that for the first time, UAC presented fully import‑substituted SJ‑100 and IL‑114-300 aircraft abroad at the Wings India 2026 International Aviation Exhibition in Hyderabad. Presented in the livery of the Indian company HAL, the SJ‑100 aircraft will be a new model in the Superjet family. Deliveries of 12 such airliners are expected in 2026.

On January 19, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade showed a fully import-substituted SJ-100 short-range aircraft, assembled using serial technology.
