- Rostec announced the first deliveries of Zubr anti-drone systems to the Russian Armed Forces
For the first time, the latest Zubr systems have been supplied to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to protect infrastructure facilities from drones and barraging ammunition. This was announced on January 28 on the website of Rostec State Corporation.
"The Zubr system was created by the specialists of our High-precision Complexes. She independently detects the drone and takes it for automatic tracking. The operator can only make a decision and give the command to kill. During the tests, the complex has shown high efficiency in combating small—sized and high-speed targets," said Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial director of the Rostec arms cluster.
It is reported that the Zubr airspace monitoring and control complex is designed to protect the near zone of critical facilities. It includes radar stations capable of detecting both large and small-sized aerial targets at any time of the day.
On January 21, Rostec handed over to the Russian Ministry of Defense the next batch of IMR-3M barrier engineering vehicles. The armored vehicles are based on the T-90 tank, equipped with an electronic warfare system and additional anti-drone protection.
