On January 27, the State Duma rejected a bill that proposed allowing citizens to park their cars for free in paid parking lots adjacent to social infrastructure facilities. The document was submitted to the State Duma in July last year.

According to the idea of the authors of the bill, citizens should be provided with 30-minute free use of paid parking located at a distance of no more than 100 meters from social infrastructure facilities.

The document also proposed to specify such social infrastructure facilities and include educational and medical institutions, specialized housing facilities, cultural and sports facilities, religious facilities, cultural heritage sites, and others.

Earlier, on January 19, a bill was submitted to the State Duma, which proposes to exempt large families from paying for paid parking in Russia. The authors of the document believe that the adoption of the bill will reduce the burden on the budget of a large family and ensure equal guarantees for them throughout the Russian Federation.
