- A new police department building has been opened in the Shcherbinka district of Moscow
The new building of the regional Department of Internal Affairs opened in the capital Shcherbinka. According to the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, he and Oleg Baranov, the head of the Moscow headquarters of the Russian Interior Ministry, talked with his staff.
"The area of the building on Zakharyinsky Dvoriki Street is nine times larger than the building that the department used to occupy," Sobyanin wrote on his channel in the IACH. "Now it's a 20—minute walk from the Shcherbinka MCD-2 city train station."
As the mayor noted, conditions have been created in the new building "for service, training, training and recreation of police officers." The building is equipped with modern engineering systems, equipped with furniture and office equipment, and the surrounding area is landscaped.
The mayor recalled that since 2011, more than 250 law enforcement facilities have been built and reconstructed in Moscow. "Work on improving the material and technical base of the metropolitan Police will continue. There are plans to build and repair about 30 more facilities," Sobyanin added.
In November last year, the mayor announced that two modern police department buildings had been opened in the capital — in the Yuzhnoportovy district and in the Severny district. Also, on the Day of the Law Enforcement Officer, after a comprehensive reconstruction, the Museum of the Moscow Police on Sretenka was reopened. "The space has become larger, the exposition has been updated, multimedia formats and special solutions for low—mobility visitors have appeared," said the mayor of Moscow.
