Sobyanin spoke about the design of the future Dostoevskaya metro station
An architectural concept has been approved for the Dostoevskaya station platform on the Moscow Metro Ring Line — it will be decorated in the Art Deco style. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
As the mayor wrote in his channel in the MAX, the appearance of the new station "will combine the monumentality of the first lines of the Moscow metro and the name of Fyodor Dostoevsky." The interiors of Dostoevskaya will be "bright and solemn," with expressive pillars, a raised ceiling and a patterned stone floor.
"Natural stone and artistic metal are used in the decoration. Some of the granite from domestic deposits will be used in the subway for the first time. The lamps will be made of art glass according to individual sketches.
The travel walls will be decorated with panels with panoramic images of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tver and Staraya Russa, cities associated with the writer's life. They will be created by honored masters of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Dostoevskaya will be the first new station on the Ring Line in more than 70 years. It will be located between Novoslobodskaya and Prospekt Mira, at the intersection of Samotechnaya and Durova streets. The station's readiness is currently estimated at 41%.
In December, Sobyanin, summing up the results of the year in terms of metro construction, noted that a number of important events took place in this area in 2025. The mayor called the opening of the main section of the Troitskaya line one of them. The length of the new branch is 27 km, the line includes 11 stations and 5 transfers. Currently, the second stage of construction of the southern section, which includes 6 stations to Troitsk, is actively progressing. In 2029, upon completion of construction work, the length of the new metro line will reach 43 km.
