Tatyana Butskaya, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, appealed to Andrey Vorobyov, Governor of the Moscow Region, with a request to inspect ice slides in Krasnogorsk and other municipalities in the region where incidents involving children had previously occurred. The deputy's letter to the head of the region was reviewed by TASS on January 27.

"I ask you <...> to check the specific slide in Krasnogorsk, where the accident occurred, and to assess compliance with safety standards for spontaneous and organized slides in other municipalities from where injuries were reported, in particular, in Dmitrov and Lobnya," the letter says.

The deputy expressed serious concern about the safety of playgrounds in the Moscow region, especially noting the dangerous slides without proper fences, safe landing zones and information signs. Butskaya also requested data on the number of officially registered and equipped slides in Lobnya and on the measures taken to ensure their safety.

On January 26, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow Region reported that an 11-year-old boy died in hospital in the Moscow region after sliding down a slide on an ice rink under the wheels of a car. It was clarified that the incident occurred on January 25 in the village of Nikolo-Uryupino, Krasnogorsk city district.
