Restoration of the interiors of the mansion where composer and pianist Alexander Scriabin lived is planned in Moscow. This was announced by Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina. Historical and cultural studies are currently being conducted, following which a restoration project will be prepared.

The building is located at 11 Bolshoy Nikolopeskovsky Lane, building 1. The architectural monument of the XIX — early XX century has the status of an object of cultural heritage of federal significance.

"Since 1918, the building has been occupied by the Scriabin Memorial Museum. In it you can see the composer's personal belongings and hear recordings of his works performed by the author. Concerts and musical evenings are also held here," Natalia Sergunina said.

The A.N. Scriabin Memorial Museum was officially opened to the public on July 17, 1922. The objects that surrounded the composer during his lifetime and were valuable to him have been preserved in their historical places. Among the exhibits there is a color lighting device to accompany the symphonic poem "Prometheus", paintings, furniture, photographs and much more.

The mansion was built in the first half of the 19th century. In 1903, the building was expanded with outbuildings and a second residential floor designed by architect Sergei Voskresensky.

The last owner was Apollon Grushka, professor and Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology at the Imperial Moscow University, who lived in the house until 1920. Among his guests were philosopher Nikolai Berdyaev, poet Konstantin Balmont, as well as theater figures Vsevolod Meyerhold and Alexander Tairov.
