Two new fire and rescue squads have appeared in New Moscow.
Two new fire and rescue units have started operating in the Troitsk and Novomoskovsk administrative districts (TiNAO) of the capital. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his channel in the IACH.
In Kommunarka and Shcherbinka, detachments No. 322 (more than 120 people) and No. 318 (90 firefighters and rescuers) went on duty.
Sobyanin noted that the new units are equipped with training complexes, climbing walls and gyms. They were also equipped with modern equipment — tanker trucks and truck ladles.
According to the mayor, the Russian capital today "occupies a leading position in terms of fire protection among the largest megacities in the world." This was the result of the work of the metropolitan fire and rescue garrison, the systematic updating of equipment and the training of specialists, Sobyanin is convinced.
He said that in recent years, the number of fires in Moscow has decreased fourfold. At the same time, the arrival time of rescuers on call anywhere in the capital is less than seven minutes, the mayor said, adding that the development of the necessary infrastructure continues.
