Kennedy (New York) and Ronald Reagan (Virginia) airports. The airlines said they were striving to "resume flights as soon as possible," but faced difficulties due to the continuing adverse weather.

In some areas, a sharp drop in temperature is predicted well below zero, which can trigger rare natural phenomena, including the destruction of trees due to severe frosts.
