American leader Donald Trump said that the US administration is reviewing all the circumstances of the shooting in Minneapolis, and also allowed the possibility of a subsequent withdrawal of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel. This was reported on January 25 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

"We are studying, we are considering all the circumstances and we will make our verdict," Trump's words are quoted in the publication.

It is reported that he refused to directly assess the actions of the federal officer who shot 37-year-old Alex Pretty.

In addition, Trump made it clear that the presence of federal agents in Minneapolis may be temporary.

"We will leave at some point. They have done a phenomenal job," the newspaper quoted the president as saying.

It is noted that the specific timing of the withdrawal of ICE employees has not yet been determined.

Earlier, on January 24, Fox News reported that a border patrol officer opened fire on an armed man in Minneapolis. Later, CNN, citing a statement from the head of the city's police, reported that the injured man had died.

On the same day, Trump expressed his bewilderment at the public outcry over the shooting involving a federal agent in Minneapolis. He pointed out the circumstances of the incident and asked about the actions of law enforcement agencies on the spot.

On January 25, it was reported that the likelihood of a partial shutdown in the United States had increased significantly due to Democrats' dissatisfaction with the financing of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) after the shooting in Minnesota.
