The State Duma warned of punishment for disclosing personal data in a house chat
For distributing personal information of citizens without consent in the house chats of apartment buildings (MKD), a fine of up to 200 thousand rubles or imprisonment for up to two years may be threatened. Alexander Yakubovsky, a member of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing, warned about this on January 26.
"Illegal dissemination of personal data without consent entails administrative liability under Article 13.11 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation with a fine of up to 15,000 rubles for citizens, and in some cases criminal liability under Article 137 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for a fine of up to 200,000 rubles or imprisonment for up to two years," he told RIA Novosti.
