The United States accidentally deported a suspect in a $100 million jewelry store robbery to Ecuador, as a result of which the trial was disrupted. This was reported on January 22 by The New York Times (NYT).

"Now one of the seven men accused of participating in the conspiracy may never be brought to justice. A few weeks ago, federal immigration authorities deported this man, Jason Nelona Presilla Flores, to Ecuador without the knowledge of the prosecutor's office," the publication says.
