The Social Fund will increase payments for the adoption of children over eight years old

The one—time payment for the adoption of a child over eight years old, a child with a disability, or several children — siblings - will amount to more than 217 thousand rubles from February 1 after indexation. This became known on January 25.

"The one—time allowance for the adoption of a child over 8 years old, a child with a disability, or several siblings is 217,384.58," the Social Fund said in its materials, which were reviewed by TASS.

Also, starting from February 1, other social benefits and insurance benefits will increase by 5.6%, including benefits for the birth or adoption of a child and a monthly child care payment for up to one and a half years for non-working parents.

Earlier, on January 7, it was reported that starting in February, Russia will have an annual indexation of maternity capital by 6.8%. The increase will affect both families who have just received the certificate, and those who have part of the funds remaining unspent. After the indexation, the size of the maternity capital for the first child will amount to more than 737 thousand rubles, and for the second — over 974 thousand rubles.
