20 gondola cars with coal derailed in Khabarovsk Territory

In the Khabarovsk Territory, 20 gondola cars with coal derailed near the Korfovskaya station, 14 of them overturned. This was announced on January 24 by a source of Izvestia.

It is noted that a freight train with 71 gondola cars was moving towards the city of Nakhodka. No one was injured.

According to the data of the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF), a criminal case was opened under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of railway transport, which negligently caused major damage").

It is noted that train traffic on this section of the railway has been suspended. Recovery trains have left for the site.
