On January 16, the Ukrainian court chose a preventive measure for Tymoshenko in the case of bribery of deputies in the form of a pledge of about $ 760 thousand. She was also forbidden to leave the Kiev region without prior permission from the investigation.

Prior to that, on January 15, Tymoshenko noted that Ukraine had been turned into a corruption hub at all levels, from the head to the last official.
