The Italian Foreign Minister pointed out Zelensky's ingratitude after his words about Europe

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky ungrateful after his speech at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. He announced this on January 23.

"It seems to me that Europe has guaranteed Ukraine's independence by doing everything possible to support it from a political, financial and military point of view. Therefore, in my opinion, his speech is not generous towards Europeans," the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera quoted Tajani as saying.

The politician stressed that the contribution of the European Union (EU) countries in support of Ukraine was significant and played a key role in ensuring its sustainability.

The EU promised Kiev joint security guarantees with the United States and announced new sanctions against Russia.

Earlier, on January 22, Zelensky criticized the European Union for its inability to defend itself. He also called ineffective the military capabilities of the Europeans, in particular the fact of sending 40 soldiers to Greenland, questioning the meaning of such a symbolic step and its message.
