At the upcoming talks in Abu Dhabi, the U.S. and Ukrainian delegations intend to discuss with the Russian side the possibility of establishing a "limited energy truce." This was reported on January 22 by The Financial Times (FT), citing sources.

"It is better to have a dialogue than not to have one at all," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said after meeting with US President Donald Trump.

According to sources, the United States hopes to hold trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi at the end of the week, with the participation of Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

It clarifies that the proposed "limited energy truce" involves a temporary suspension of strikes on key infrastructure in exchange for mutual measures aimed at reducing risks and preserving vital resources.
