The Russian side will be ready to consider returning to work in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). This was announced on January 22 by Russia's Permanent Representative to the OSCE Dmitry Polyansky.

"The Russian delegation will be ready to consider returning to work in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly," he said at a meeting of the organization's Permanent Council, as quoted by TASS.

He specified that the Russian delegation could return to participation provided that Russophobic and discriminatory approaches to solving urgent problems of European security are reviewed.

Earlier in the day, Polyansky said that the European security system is deteriorating, and the whole world is approaching a military catastrophe. According to him, the OSCE must balance its agenda in such a way that it reflects the concerns of all participating states without exception.

Alexander Grushko, Deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on December 4 that the West had turned the OSCE into an instrument of hybrid warfare and coercion, and countries that guided national interests were being threatened and blackmailed.
