Trump threatened to respond to the EU in case of sale of US assets
The United States will respond to the European Union (EU) if it starts selling off American assets. This was announced on January 22 by the American leader Donald Trump.
"If this (sale of US assets — Ed.) happens, then we will take serious retaliatory measures. We have all the cards in our hands," Bloomberg quotes Trump as saying.
He also refused to impose duties on goods from eight EU countries that objected to the American president in his claims to Greenland. The material indicates that this could have been done in connection with the ability. Europe retaliated by selling US securities.
The day before, Trump announced the formation of the basis for a future agreement on Greenland and the Arctic region, and therefore the tariffs scheduled for February 1 will not take effect. The President also spoke about additional discussions on the island, which relate to the Golden Dome missile defense system.
