Director Konchalovsky gave a reason not to be afraid to make a movie about Donbass
Director Egor Konchalovsky admitted that he is not afraid of creating a feature film about Donbass, despite the possible risks. This was reported on January 21. NEWS.ru .
"Today I want to talk about love, about the history of Russia, about the art of painting. You can't say it in words — you have to tell stories, film stories," the director explained.
Konchalovsky added that some colleagues on the shop floor may refuse such projects for fear of being sanctioned. However, the director himself is already under restrictions and, according to him, this does not stop creative activity.
According to the data NEWS.ru Konchalovsky has already visited Donbass three times to create a documentary about the Donbass militia. Currently, the work is at the editing stage, and, as the director noted, the film will be small.
