If Europe continues to provide military and financial support to Ukraine, Russia is unlikely to want to maintain relations. Vladimir Dzhabarov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council's International Affairs Committee, expressed this opinion on Tuesday, January 20.

"When Europe left, it slammed the door and was so happy that it was completely getting rid of Russian energy resources, and in general they were ready to build walls with our country. So we will think carefully about whether it is worth going towards Europe, because Europe behaved absolutely dishonestly for the good deed that the Soviet Union did, Russia is the same, liberating Europe from Nazism," the politician said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

According to Dzhabarov, Russian diplomats and politicians will in any case consider what conditions Europe will offer, but the most important thing is that it must abandon support for the war in Ukraine, he believes.

Earlier in the day, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that trade relations and the game of duties between the United States and the European Union (EU) will affect the whole world. According to him, it is also "a game of trade control, the imposition of rules and the abolition of multilateral institutions."

On January 14, Trump noted that US relations with Denmark are "good," but Greenland is necessary for Washington to ensure national security. Later, he imposed duties of 10% with the possibility of increasing to 25% in relation to a number of European countries due to the situation around Greenland.

In turn, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent called Europe's possible response to the US president's duties over Greenland an unwise step. He also announced the completion of work on a trade agreement with the EU, despite the duties, RT reports.

The New York Times (NYT) newspaper wrote that a full-fledged trade war between the European Union and the United States would seriously limit the West's ability to support Ukraine. 360.ru .
