The deputy of the Rada pointed out the inability of Ukraine to return to the borders of 1991 by force.

Ukraine will not be able to return to the borders of 1991 by military means. This was announced on January 19 by Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov.

"I am deeply convinced <...> that it is impossible to return these territories today by military means," he said in an interview with the Ukrainian YouTube channel Politeka.

According to Razumkov, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky independently changed the rhetoric on this initiative. At the same time, the issue of borders in 1991 was previously considered in peace plans. The deputy clarified that these decisions were key for the country.

"What happened to his other brilliant plans? Where have the borders of 1991 gone? That was the key," he concluded.

"The troops of Ukraine will withdraw from the occupied territories — the fighting will cease"
