Residents of Russia under the age of 14 will be able to cross the border only with a foreign passport. The relevant law came into force on January 20.
It is assumed that a child or teenager will not need a birth certificate to cross the border.
"In the first part of Article 6, the words "or by birth certificate (for minor citizens of the Russian Federation under the age of 14)" and the words "and birth certificate" should be deleted," the text of the law says on the official Internet portal of legal information.
