Tusk comments on Poland's invitation to the "Peace Council" on Gas
On January 19, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk commented on the invitation of Poland and, in particular, President Karol Nawrocki to the "Peace Council" aimed at resolving the situation in the Gaza Strip.
"Poland's accession to the international organization requires the consent of the Council of Ministers and ratification by the Sejm [the lower house of the Polish Parliament]. The government will be guided solely by the interests and security of the Polish state," he wrote on the social network X.
Tusk reacted with disbelief to the proposal of US President Donald Trump to join the "Council", believing that they were trying to outwit the Poles.
