Preparations for floods will be accelerated in Stavropol

The Stavropol Territory will accelerate the preparation of all municipalities for the upcoming flood season. The corresponding instruction was given by Governor Vladimir Vladimirov at a weekly meeting with the heads of territories.

"Spring is just around the corner, and flood protection will be on the agenda. We all remember 2017, when a lot of water came to the region. I'm sure no one wants a repeat," said the head of the region.

By the end of January, all districts must submit special flood preparedness passports to the regional Ministry of Natural Resources. This document confirms the implementation of protective measures.

According to the StavropolMedia news agency, 12 municipalities have completed the task so far. According to Vladimirov, the results of the work will be fixed by the protocol.

A flood campaign is conducted annually to protect people and critical infrastructure from possible flooding.
