The deadline for the removal of the sunken vessel was extended in the port of Murmansk

In Murmansk, the deadline for removing the sunken ship Zapolyarye was postponed. The corresponding order was given by the port captain Eduard Bezukladov.

According to the Bi-Port news agency, a fishing vessel sank off the south side of the pier in April 2024. It was not in operation and was put up for sale.

The ship's liquidation was supposed to be completed by September 20, 2025. However, the unfavorable hydrometeorological situation prevented the work from being carried out on time. In this regard, the deadline has been extended until October 16, 2026.

In the northern part of Korsakov (Sakhalin region) in 2025, work began on the elimination of sunken ships. In just two years, 11 facilities are planned to be disposed of.
