A suspect in the murder of a young man at a bus stop has been detained in the Moscow region.

A suspect in the murder of a 19-year-old young man in an electrical installation has been detained. This was reported on January 19 in the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate (GSU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation for the Moscow region.

"An investigator of the territorial investigation department of the GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow region has opened a criminal case into the murder of an 18-year—old local resident (part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). <...> The suspect has been detained, and he is currently being taken to the investigator for investigative actions," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to the Izvestia source, the detained 19-year-old resident of Kemerovo stood up for the girls on the bus, after which all the conflicting parties got out at the bus stop and started fighting. At some point, the young man took out a knife and stabbed one of the offenders with it several times. Despite the help provided in the hospital, the victim died.

A 43-year-old former employee of a fishing vessel was arrested on January 9 for the murder of a sailor on New Year's Eve. It is noted that the detained man was charged under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder"). At the request of the investigating authorities, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
