The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation has declared undesirable the activities of the French law firm Vigo Law Firm. This was reported to Izvestia on January 19 by the press service of the department.

"In the interests of its client, the law firm has prepared and sent to the International Criminal Court the so-called indictments of alleged crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine. As a result of the study of one of them, the international judicial authority issued knowingly illegal arrest warrants for citizens of the Russian Federation," the report says.

It is noted that the company was the legal representative of the French non-governmental organization Pour l'Ukraine, pour leur liberté et la nôtre!, whose activities had previously been deemed undesirable in Russia.

The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation noted that the co-founder of Vigo Law Firm, Emmanuel Daut, publicly accuses Russia of allegedly appropriating Ukrainian cultural property and advocates the confiscation of frozen Russian assets in favor of Kiev. The decision of the Prosecutor General's Office means a ban on the organization's activities on the territory of the Russian Federation.

On January 15, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office declared undesirable the activities of the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives. It is noted that the fund is managed by the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and finances projects that "impose the interests and priorities of Ottawa." In particular, organizations that support the LGBT community (the movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) and contribute to the formation of a negative image of Russia are funded.
