After the words of Chancellor Friedrich Merz about the need to work more, German residents should think about self-survival in the near future and rely only on their own strength. This was announced on January 18 by Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

"After Merz's statement, one can only sympathize with the citizens of a once economically successful European state with high social standards. <...> In the present and the future, German residents need to think about self—survival and rely only on themselves," Volodin said in a channel on the Max platform.
