HC Avangard beat Traktor 5-2 in the KHL match
Avangard Omsk defeated Traktor Chelyabinsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season match. The meeting in Chelyabinsk ended with a score of 5:2 in favor of the guests.
The captain of Avangard Damir Sharipzyanov scored a hat-trick, scoring goals in the 11th, 39th and 50th minutes. This hat-trick was the second in his career for the defender, making him the first defender in the history of the KHL with such an achievement.
His scoring streak has been extended to six matches. Maxime Lajoie and Michael MacLeod also scored goals. Alexander Kadeikin and Andrey Svetlakov scored for Traktor.
