On January 17, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, commented on the introduction of a 10% duty by American leader Donald Trump for a number of EU countries due to Greenland.

"From June 1, the increase is up to 25%. This is about a 1% duty for each soldier sent to Greenland. Europe should not provoke its daddy," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
