In Moscow, the fleet of road-cleaning equipment is constantly being updated to provide high—quality services to the city - about 2.4 thousand units were purchased last year. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin. According to him, "more modern, mobile and energy-efficient machines" are being purchased, the use of which makes it possible to optimize work time and improve their quality.

"Among the new models are specialized machines: large vacuum sweepers, graders, front loaders, linear snow loaders," Sobyanin wrote on his channel in the MAX.

The city's road organizations also received rotors based on the KAMAZ chassis. These machines with powerful engines can be used in winter to "clean roads and simultaneously treat them with anti-icing materials," the mayor said.

Equipment for servicing winter recreation areas in Moscow is also being purchased. Thus, over 80 ice-loading trucks and snow trucks have been purchased, which is "especially important given the increase in winter recreation locations," Sobyanin noted.

He also recalled that new electric sweepers have been operating on the streets of Moscow since 2025. In summer, they are used as a road vacuum cleaner, and in winter they clean the streets with a front brush and distribute deicing materials.

In early January, about 145 thousand people and over 15 thousand units of special equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of a heavy snowfall in Moscow, Pyotr Biryukov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the government of the capital for housing and communal Services and landscaping, reported earlier. According to him, "these are employees of public utilities, metropolitan engineering, resource supply, construction companies, and other enterprises and organizations." The work was carried out around the clock, Biryukov added.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
