A friend of the former head of Uralkali confirmed the discovery of Baumgertner's body in Cyprus

The body of a man found in Cyprus in the search area for the ex-head of Uralkali, Vladislav Baumgertner, really belongs to the missing businessman. Alexey Dozortsev, an acquaintance of the deceased, told Izvestia on January 15.

"The found body is Vladislav. The necessary documents are being processed. In order to avoid speculation and taking into account the huge amount of false information in the press: The main version is an accident," said Dozortsev.
