New Year decorations on Nevsky Prospekt began to be dismantled in St. Petersburg. The work will take place in several stages, according to 78.ru Thursday, January 15th.
First, the decorations will be removed from the streets, which will be decorated on the Day of the complete Liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade. The holiday will take place on January 27.
On the central streets not involved in the event, the decor will remain hanging until January 22. On the same day, the New Year's tree will be removed from the Palace Square.
According to Andrey Chistyakov, head of the Urban Center for Advertising and Festive Decoration of the City, the dismantling of New Year's structures will be carried out at more than 700 addresses in 18 districts of the city.
