A stun grenade exploded in Syktyvkar at the vocational training center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. This was announced on January 15 by the Minister of Health of the Komi Republic Irina Kondratieva.

"Today, nine people were injured in the explosion of a stun grenade at the vocational training center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Syktyvkar. Another 200 had to be evacuated due to heavy smoke," Kondrateva said.

The condition of the four victims is assessed as extremely serious. The injured were hospitalized in the republican clinical hospital and the Ezhva city hospital.

One person refused to be hospitalized, he was treated on the spot. There were 10 ambulance crews working at the site, including two intensive care units. Specialists continue to be on duty at the scene.
