Tymoshenko pointed to the transformation of Ukraine into a corruption hub at all levels

The leader of the Ukrainian Batkivshchyna party, Yulia Tymoshenko, said on January 15 during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada that Ukraine had been turned into a corruption hub at all levels, from the head to the last official.

"Ukraine has been turned into a corruption hub at all levels, from the head to the last official. I can also firmly say that we will not let a single bill in this parliament, which destroys the sovereignty of the country, pass at any price," she said.

According to her, the Kiev authorities have identified her team as the only real opposition in the country, which confirms their actions against her and her team.

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, said on the same day that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was seeking to eliminate political opponents, and this explained the pressure on Tymoshenko.

On January 13, it became known about the searches in the office of the Batkivshchyna party of Tymoshenko. It was clarified that the preliminary penalty would be in accordance with Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Offering, promising or providing an unlawful benefit to an official").

On January 14, NABU released audio footage of Tymoshenko's negotiations on bribing deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, where she offers them money for a "correct" vote. The bureau also showed footage of the head of Batkivshchyna during searches of the party's office.

On the same day, Tymoshenko stated that she had nothing to do with the published audio recordings of her voice. The politician added that she is ready to prove the alleged baselessness of the charges in court, as she "has done more than once."
