Iran has closed the airspace over the country

Iran has issued a new notice to flight personnel (NOTAM), closing its airspace. This was announced on January 15 by the Flightradar service.

"Iran has issued a new NOTAM notice, closing its airspace to all flights except international flights to/from Iran, for which permission is granted. The NOTAM notification is valid for just over two hours," the service said on its Facebook page (ex. Twitter)
