UK to check reports of deaths of children in Novokuznetsk maternity hospital in 2018-2024

Investigators intend to check media information about the improper provision of medical care to women in 2018, 2021 and 2024 at the Novokuznetsk maternity hospital No. 1, where nine babies died during the New Year holidays. This was announced on January 14 by the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Kuzbass.

"Pre—investigation checks have been organized on the grounds of crimes provided for in Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence") and Part 2 of Article 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing serious harm to health by negligence)," the agency's Telegram channel says.
