The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) have exposed the head of one of the parliamentary factions of the Verkhovna Rada in a number of illegal services. This was reported on January 13 in the press service of law enforcement agencies.
"NABU and SAPO have exposed the head of one of the parliamentary factions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for providing illegal benefits to a number of MPs belonging to factions not headed by this person for voting for or against specific draft laws," the Telegram channel said.
It is specified that the preliminary penalty will be under Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ("Offering, promising or providing an unlawful benefit to an official").
The Ukrainian edition of the Observer.ua" suggests that they are accusing MP Yulia Tymoshenko or the leader of the Servants of the People party, David Arahamia.
On January 11, Ukrainian blogger and journalist Anatoly Shariy reported that NABU suspected several dozen deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of profiting from the voting results. According to him, in the near future, suspicions against about 40 parliamentarians may move to the stage of official accusations by the anti-corruption agency, and at the moment, the suspicions have been officially handed over to five MPs.
