The tourist tax in Stavropol Region will be doubled in 2026
The tourist tax in the Stavropol Territory will be doubled in 2026. It is currently operating in all municipalities of the region, Governor Vladimir Vladimirov said during a direct line.
Part of the funds received will be used for the transformation of public areas and the modernization of the water supply system, writes IA StavropolMedia. Among the projects are the renovation of the square in Yessentuki and the improvement of Komsomolsk Park in Kislovodsk.
According to Vladimirova, last year, in 2025, with funds from the tourist tax, the authorities renovated the Cascade Staircase in Zheleznovodsk, completed the landscaping of Kurortny Boulevard in Kislovodsk, and also began to put Novopyatigorsk Lake in order.
Earlier, Izvestia wrote that in 2026, a tourist tax was introduced in at least 73 of 89 Russian regions. A year earlier, the fee was valid in 65 regions. It is paid as a percentage of the cost of temporary accommodation — in 2026 it is 2%.
