The International Olympic Committee (IOC) called the situations with Russia and the United States on the issue of suspension from participation in the Olympic Games incomparable. This was reported on January 13 in the press service of the organization.

"Therefore, these two situations are not comparable. This was confirmed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)," RIA Novosti quoted the text of the statement.
