The lawyer told about the ways to check a person for non-payment of alimony
There are several ways to check whether a person is a malicious defaulter of alimony. Sofya Lukinova, Head of the Legal Department of VMT Consult, told Izvestia about this on January 13.
According to her, the information is available on the website and in the mobile application of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP), starting today it is also available through the Gosuslugi portal. In addition, information can be obtained by sending a request to the FSSP personally — to the territorial department — or through a multifunctional center.
"The register of alimony defaulters includes citizens against whom enforcement proceedings have been opened for non—payment of alimony for four months or more, including those who have been put on the wanted list, as well as those who have already been convicted under the relevant criminal article," the lawyer explained.
In addition, the expert added, those who systematically and repeatedly evade obligations, provide false income information, ignore bailiff warnings and regularly change their place of residence are recognized as malicious defaulters, that is, they actually hide from paying alimony.
At the same time, as Lukinova emphasized, being on the registry is not lifelong. In case of full repayment of the debt, information about the defaulter is subject to exclusion from the public list.
On the same day, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation announced that the federal register of malicious alimony defaulters became available for verification on the Gosuslugi portal. The service will help you evaluate financial integrity, for example, when concluding civil law transactions.
