Stavropol region to increase mineral water exports to Africa

The Stavropol Territory authorities plan to increase the export of bottled mineral water to African countries. The market volume is estimated at $ 15 billion, said Anton Doronin, head of the regional Ministry of Energy.

"Through logistics hubs in Tanzania and Kenya, the mineral water of the Stavropol Territory has every chance to take its rightful place in the markets of Central and East African countries," the minister wrote in his Telegram.

Last year, in 2025, the volume of contracts among enterprises in the region with the participation of the Export Support Center exceeded 688.4 million rubles and $ 8.8 million. According to the StavropolMedia news agency, 24 SME entities have signed contracts.

Earlier it was reported that in November 2025, the first batch of mineral water from Stavropol went to India. Several tens of thousands of bottles of natural water without gas were sent by sea from Yessentuki.
