The corresponding statement was made by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during the ceremony of awarding the Russian government's 2025 media Awards.

"Here, of course, media representatives are very important. You are worried about our country, you are ready to defend an objective point of view, and most importantly, you show sincere interest and concern for the people who become the heroes of your stories," Mishustin said.

The ceremony began with the awarding of awards to war correspondents. The Prime Minister was among the first to posthumously award the war correspondent of Izvestia, Semyon Eremin, who died in the line of duty.
